Colby Gray Williamson, age 5, son of Scott and Brooke Williamson, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Old Ford Church of Christ, 6040 U.S. Highway 17 North, Washington, conducted by Eddie Bowen and Thomas Hamilton. Burial will be private in the Williamson Family Cemetery.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Dean Watson, Chris Jefferson, Johnny Matkins and Brandon Hayes.
Colby was born in Pitt County on September 21, 2009. He attended the First United Methodist Church Pre-School. Known as “his Mama’s Candy Monster”, Colby was always in a good mood and could light up a room with his baby blue eyes. He was adorable, wide-open, and loved the farm. Colby enjoyed getting dirty and muddy whether it be by four-wheeling or dirt biking. He loved animals as well as fishing and hunting. He enjoyed wearing his camo, jeans and boots and playing with his “Kindle”. Whenever he threw a ball, or did a flip or anything, Colby would ask his mama, “Isn’t that amazing?”
Colby is survived by his parents, William “Scott” Williamson and Beverlee “Brooke” Alligood Williamson of the home; older brother, Landon Williamson of the home; younger brother, Rylan Williamson of the home; maternal grandfather, Preston Alligood of Washington; maternal grandmother, Brenda Rumley and her husband, Stewart of Bath; paternal grandparents, Harvey and Marsha Williamson of Washington; aunt, Stephanie Williamson of Arkansas; uncle, Britt Alligood of Washington; maternal great aunt and uncle, Zelda and Dewey Woolard of Washington; paternal great aunt and uncle, Martha and Freddie Matkins of Washington and his best friends, Blake Toler and Trevor Rawls.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Paul Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington and other times at the home, 1774 Wharton Station Road, Washington.
