TERROR AT THE TURNAGE: It was billed as a “Deadly Affair,” but the Beaufort County Arts Council’s inaugural Halloween event was quite populated by lively souls Friday night. The Turnage was unrecognizable as the elegant theater, as volunteers spent hours transforming it into a spook-worthy venue, complete with coffins, monsters and giant spiders, though nothing was spookier than the upper-story vaudeville theater, untouched for decades and rumored to be home to a few spirits.
