Mr. William Harris Wallace, age 69, a resident of 8373 Old 97 Road, Pantego, died Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.
Graveside services will be 11:00 am Saturday November 8, 2014 at the Respess Family Cemetery and will be conducted by Pastor David Young.
Mr. Wallace was born in Beaufort County on January 9, 1945 to the late William and Magdalene Harris Wallace. On December 17, 1965 he married Janet Dale Respess who survives. Mr. Wallace served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a logger for Weyerhaeuser for many years and he loved to fish. Mr. Wallace is a member of the Five Points Free Will Baptist Church and was a member of the VFW in Washington.
Survivors include his wife Janet R. Wallace of the home, two sons, William Harris Wallace Jr. and wife Autumn of Pinetown, Derek Wayne Wallace and special friend Sherri Groomes of Washington, one brother, Mac Wallace and wife Marilyn of Pinetown, three sisters, Roberta Nelson and husband George, Linda Waters and husband Steve, Wenda Winstead and husband Ray all of Pinetown and two grandsons, Nathaniel and Joshua Wallace. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ginger Wallace.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, November 7, 2014 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.
