MARK CLARK CAMPBELL SR.

Dec. 3, 1942 – Nov. 6, 2014

 

Mark Clark Campbell, Sr., age 71, a resident of Doe Run, Washington, NC, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014 at his home. Mark was born in Pitt County, NC on December 3, 1942 son of the late William Henry Campbell and Essie Mae Beddard Campbell. He was a graphic technician with Hackney & Sons. Mark was married to Judy Jones Campbell who survives. He attended Snowd Branch Church of God.

In addition to his wife, Mark is survived by his sons, Mark Clark Campbell, Jr. of Chocowinity and Jeffery Wayne Campbell of Jamesville; his daughters, Tangie Elaine Morton of New Bern, Catherine Fleming of Washington, Amy Cox of Chocowinity and Kimberly Dawn Taylor of Greenville; his sister, Polly Campbell Mayo of Chocowinity; 22 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his brothers, Kit Carson Campbell, Harvey Lee Campbell and William Henry Campbell.

A graveside celebration of his life, with military honors, will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, November 10, 2014 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens officiated by Jerry Waters. The family will receive friends following the service and at other times at the home.
