Way Off Broadway Players to host comedy Nov. 13-15

GEORGE WAHAB | CONTRIBUTED BEYOND A JOKE: The Way Off Broadway Players will present a comedy, “Beyond a Joke,” by Derek Benfield, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 13, 14 and 15 at 8 p.m. in the Way Off Broadway Theatre, located at 487 Pamlico St., Belhaven. The play centers around a family in rural England. The daughter’s boyfriend comes to visit every weekend and is thinking of proposing, before discovering that six people have died in their house in the past few months. Immediately concluding the deceased were murdered by the parents, the vicar comes for coffee, the young man becomes desperately destracted, and then there is also a television repairman who enters the mix. And to top it off, the young boy’s parents are making a sudden visit in the next 15 minutes. What could possibly go wrong? Join the Players as cast and crew, Mary Wahab, Aaron Stevens, Zachary Stevens, Lyndsey Cuthrell, Mandy Robbins, Mike Gibbs, Vicki Armstrong, Hollis Brooks, Lloyd Balance, Butch Jones, Landon Woolard, Aidan Budge and George Wahab lead the audience through three nights of mystery, fun and entertainment.
