ELTON DALE BAZEMORE

Feb. 25, 1928 – Nov. 25, 2014

 

Elton Dale Bazemore, 86, of 1431 Republican Road, died Tuesday November 25, 2014 at Vidant Bertie Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Newsomes VA February 25, 1928 to the late Joseph Redden and Mary Elizabeth White Bazemore and was predeceased by his wife Mary Alice Keeter Bazemore and a grandson, Zachary Miller.  Elton was a farmer and owner of Bazemore’s Grocery in Republican.   He was a member of Republican Baptist Church and a Navy veteran.

A graveside funeral service will be held Friday November 28, 2014 at 2:00PM at Edgewood Cemetery by Rev. Bobby Strother.

Survivors include his daughter, Dianne B. Phelps and husband Russell of Windsor; son Charles Edward Bazemore and wife Cynthia of Greensboro; brother Joseph R. Bazemore of Richmond, VA; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service and from the home of Dianne and Russell Phelps, 406 York St. Windsor at other times. Memorial gifts may be made to Republican Baptist Church, % Reddick White, 1141 Republican Road, Windsor, NC 27983.
