BOBBY “CHOP” BOYD

Bobby “Chop” Boyd, 54, of Straits, formerly of Washington, died Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Carteret General Hospital.

A celebration of life service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Core Sound Water Fowl Museum on Harkers Island with Chris Salter officiating.

Bobby was a graduate of Bath High School, and he moved to Carteret County in the early 80’s.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years Kimberly Boyd of the home; two daughters, Lindsey Fuchs and husband Charles Michael of Williston, and Carlee Boyd of the home; and two sisters, Emma Boyd and husband, Phil , and Gail Boyd all of Washington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Tillie Boyd, and brother, Marty Boyd.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to East Carteret Marching Mariners at 3263 Hwy 70 Beaufort, NC 28516.
