ROBERT L. HUTCHINSON

July 9, 1930 – April 26, 2015

 

Robert Leo Hutchinson, age 84, a resident of 2692 Whichard’s Beach Rd., Chocowinity, NC, died Sunday April 26, 2015 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday April 30, 2015 at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC. The family will receive friends Wednesday April 29, 2015 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory. Corey Hutchinson, Adam Adcock, and Christopher Leaver will serve as pallbearers. Ajay McCuller, Jr. will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Mr. Robert was born in Medford, MA on July 9, 1930 to the late Wilkie Stores Hutchinson and Madeline Helena Fahey. On August 10, 1957 he married Ruth Marie Hutchins. He served in the United States Air Force for 30 years. Mr. Robert was a member of the Haw Branch Hunting Club, the VFW, and the Marine Fisheries.

Survivors include his wife Ruth Hutchinson, two daughters Bonnie Hutchinson Leaver of Blounts Creek, Wendy Lynne Adcock of Morehead City, four grandchildren Corey Allen Hutchinson, Christopher Ryan Leaver, Taylor Marie Leaver, Adam Warren Adcock, and one great-grandchild Ajay McCuller, Jr.

Mr. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Laura Marie Brassington.
