Mrs. Patricia Peele “Patsy” Belyeu, age 72, a resident of 106 Landon Drive, Washington, died Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, May 23, 2015 from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington conducted by Minister Edward Mercer.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday at Paul Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
Mrs. Belyeu was born in Beaufort County on August 19, 1942. She was the daughter of the late William Grey “Bill” Peele and Carsie Rascoe Peele. Mrs. Belyeu was a retired secretary with Carawan-Allen Insurance Agency in Washington. She was a member of First Christian Church. She was a very active leader and volunteer with the Girl Scouts for many years. Mrs. Belyeu was a member of the Bunyan Ruritan Club Auxiliary.
On October 12, 1963, she married William Thompson “Tommy” Belyeu, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Belyeu is survived by two daughters, Valda Lynne Belyeu and Tracy Belyeu and her two sons, Joshua Thompson Toler and William M. “Liam” Toler all of Washington; sister, Peggy Peele Waters of Washington; nephews and nieces, Michael Waters (Katie),Michelle Hill, Amber Hill of Raleigh, Keith Waters (Cindy), Macree Paul, Carsie Waters, Savannah Waters, Jonathan Waters of Greensboro, Katrina Little (Ty), Zoe Waters, (Gene and Maddox) of Washington, Katherine Waters of Farmville, Greg Anderson of Charlotte; Pat Waters (Nathan Waters) of West Virginia and her beloved dog, Smoochie.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Belyeu was preceded in death by a nephew, William Waters. Being a dog lover, she was also preceded in death by her beloved dogs, Royal, Mack & Jack, Kit and Regal.
