Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. Lightening

 

Sweet, calm and friendly are good words to describe our Lightening. At 7 months, this shepherd-mix, male is handsome with a yellow/white soft, smooth, shorthair coat. The tips of his ears are a warm light brown; his dark brown eyes hint of his intelligence. This gentle fellow needs tender loving care in a good forever home where he will be a good and faithful asset to the family. See for yourself what a special dog he is by paying him a visit.

Fun, fun, fun – that’s what you’ll have with siblings Bella and Percy. These little, black beauties are 12-week-old domestic longhairs. It is evident that they are very bonded as they romp and play together. Friendly, curious, engaging and affectionate, Bella and Percy will grow into beautiful and handsome cats and they will be good, faithful pets and companions in any loving forever home. Treat yourself to some fun, pay Bella and Percy a visit.

During June, cats and kittens, at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility will have an adoption fee of $25 each. This fee includes spaying /neutering, the first round of shots, a microchip and worming, for each feline adopted. This is a reduced fee with the remainder paid by the Humane Society of Beaufort County. Don’t delay!  This offer is in effect through June 30.
