Katy Lou Loveless

March 30, 1937 – June 15, 2015

 

Mrs. Katy Lou Harris Loveless, age 78, a resident of 11655 U.S. Highway 17 North, Vanceboro, died Monday, June 15, 2015, at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2015, from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, conducted by Marty Alligood.

Mrs. Loveless was born in Pitt County on March 30, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Johny H. Harris and Minnie Lena Williams Harris. Mrs. Loveless was a retired secretary with Otis Elevator Company. Mrs. Loveless grew up in Greenville, lived in Maryland for many years before moving to Vanceboro. While living in Maryland, she enjoyed making ceramics in her spare time. Mrs. Loveless was known as a loving and giving person.

On Dec. 19, 1961, she married Robert Donald Loveless, who preceded her in death, July 25, 2011.

Mrs. Loveless is survived by a daughter, Brenda Lou True of Maryland; a son, Danny B. Loveless of Maryland; three grandchildren, Melissa, Heather and Thomas; six great-grandchildren, Brianna, Maya, Sophia, Little Thomas, Isabella and Gabriella; and niece and friend Bertie Williams, of Washington.

The family will receive friends following the service at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory.
