Alice Waters Pope, 76, died Thursday, August 6, 2015.  A graveside service will be conducted on Monday at 10:30 A.M. in Winterville Cemetery.

Alice Pope, a native of Pitt County, had lived in the Winterville community.  She was engaged in caregiving for the people in the Winterville community.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ayden, NC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Roxie James Waters.

She is survived by her daughter: Dawn Pope of Greenville; sons: Allen Pope and wife, Betty, of Wilmington, Andy Pope and friend, Cindy, of Belhaven, and James Hilton Pope of Butner, NC; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers: Wiley Moye Waters, Jr., of Lynchburg, VA, and Monroe Waters of Winterville; and sister: Roselyn Norwood of Charlotte.

The family will receive friends after the service.
