Robert Ward Swain

Robert Ward Swain, 61, of Racetrack Road, died Friday August 14, 2015 at his home.  He was born in Martin County December 20, 1953 to the late John Eason and Gertie Gurganus Swain.  Mr. Swain was a member and Deacon of Sweet Home Church of Christ.  He was the assistant manager of Builders Discount Center.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday August 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Sweet Home Church of Christ by Rev. Ward Sullivan.

Survivors include his wife, Penny Silverthorne Swain of the home; daughter Amy Roberson and husband Tim of Robersonville; son, Robert “Bert” Ward Swain, Jr. and wife Ally of Robersonville; sisters, Grace Jones of Matthews, Ruth Roberson of Robersonville; brothers, William “ Bud” Swain of Williamston, Richard Swain of Robersonville; grandchildren, Wilson Ward Roberson and Georgia Ferrell Swain.

In lieu of flowers, potted plants are welcome.
