From the Literacy Volunteers of Beaufort County

What do dominoes, cards, game boards, lunch and prizes have in common? Literacy Volunteers will host its annual game/card party on Sept. 29 from 11:30-4:00 p.m. at the Washington Yacht & Country Club. The cost is $25 per person with a wonderful lunch included and an afternoon of fun with the game(s) of one’s choice, door prizes and a 50/50 drawing. The event is open to everyone with proceeds going to support the work of the group. Literacy volunteers offer free confidential tutoring in improving the reading, writing, English and math skills of legal adults in Beaufort County.
