Mr. Timothy Stephen “Timmy” Winstead, age 56, a resident of 5080 River Road, Washington, NC died Wednesday September 9, 2015 at his home.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday September 13, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Lieutenant Bruce Rabon.

Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens.  Billy Johnson, Billy McRoy David Willoughby, Johnny Hewitt, Drew Flores and Sean Hadley will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour Sunday at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

Timmy was born in Beaufort County on April 11, 1959 son of the late Ottis Roland Winstead and Mary Elizabeth Johnson Winstead who survives.  He attended Washington High School.  His father taught him the trade of pipe fitter and he worked with Daniels Construction in Kinston.  Timmy loved nature, animals, camping and boating which the faster the boat the better.  He was proud to pass on his good work trait to his son.

Surviving along with his mother: Mary of Washington is his son: Matthew Stephen Winstead and his girlfriend Tiffany Cornelius of Belhaven; his special friend and caregiver: Connie Bridgeman Ashby of the home; two sisters: Debra Winstead “Debbie” Warren of Washington and Sandra Winstead “Sandy” Hadley and her husband Sean of Lawrence Kansas; two grandchildren: Skyler Cornelius and Christopher Cornelius and a nephew: Patrick Hadley.
