Melvin T. Taylor Jr.
Aug. 31, 1948 ­– Oct. 20, 2015

Melvin T. Taylor Jr., age 67, a former resident of Blounts Creek, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Cherry Point Bay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Havelock, NC. He was born in Pamlico County on August 31, 1948 to the late Melvin T. Taylor Sr. and Catherine Martin Taylor. After his formal education, on July 12, 1970 he married the former Mary Carol Chancey who preceded him in death on July 12, 2012. Mr. Taylor was a former employee of Amco Transmissions in New Bern where he worked as a mechanic.

A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rowe Family Cemetery in Blounts Creek. The service will be officiated by Pastor Ray Webb. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside and at the home of Melvin T. Taylor on the day of the service.
