Santa Evey Morris

Santa Joy Evey Morris, age 81, of North Canton, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015. Born in Canton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Adam and Betty (Cobane) Evey Sr., she had been a life resident of the North Canton area. Santa retired from the Hoover Co. in 1991, was a member of Zion United Church of Christ of North Canton, Ohio, and enjoyed reading, sewing and crocheting.
Santa was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Dean Morris; and by two brothers, Adam Evey Jr., and Forrest Evey. Survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Chuck Mitchell; one son, Jerry Morris; five sisters and one brother-in-law, Carol Lee and Norwood Houston, Patricia Schlabach, Tamara Parker, Lindy Callahan, and Debby Tomasic; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Janie Evey; one sister-in-law, Sharon Evey; four grandchildren, Ryan and Chris Mitchell, Autumn and Adam Morris; one great-grandson, Jaxx Morris; and many nieces and nephews. Santa and Dean loved the beach and spent many summer vacations on the coast of North Carolina with family.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 8 at 2:30 p.m. at Love Missionary Baptist Church, 4751 River Rd., Washington, officiated by Pastor Doug Batchelor. Condolences may be sent to Carol Lee and Norwood Houston, 101 Sweetbriar Rd., Washington.
