From the National Weather Service

The National Weather Service out of Newport/Morehead City has issued a moderate freeze warning for Beaufort County in effect from 9 p.m. Monday to 8 a.m. Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to drop between 25 F and 30 F after sunset on Monday through early Tuesday morning.

A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
