Elder Josephine M. Garris, 71, of 380 Butler Ford Road, Vanceboro, died Friday, November 27, 2015 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Progressive Free Will Baptist Church, 1503 Hooker Rd., Greenville. Burial will follow in the Sandhill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

Viewing will be Friday from 2 PM until 4PM at the funeral home with the family present to receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM at the Burning Bush United Holy Church, Vanceboro, for an inspirational visitation musical. At other times, the family will receive friends at 1906 Hampton Rd., Kinston, where they will assemble in preparation for funeral procession.
