Kenneth Scott Cahoon, 61, of 985 Quarter Road, Swan Quarter, died Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

Born in Beaufort County, February 14, 1954, he was the son of the late James Lawson Sr. and Blandina Credle Cahoon. He was married to the former Marylynn “Bit” Williams who survives.

He was a member of Pleasant Grove Church of Christ and was a member of the Atlantic Lodge AF & AM #294. He was a graduate of Mattamuskeet School class of 1972.

He was owner and operator of Kenny’s Seafood and he loved his family, hunting and fishing.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm on Friday, December 4, 2015 at the family plot in Fairfield Cemetery. Dr. Cecilia Austin will officiate.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marylynn “Bit” Cahoon; two daughters, Nancy Jo C. Kaster and husband Charlie of Swan Quarter, Regina Gibbs Jones and husband Adam of Engelhard; two brothers, James L. Cahoon and wife Sue of Plymouth, David B. Cahoon of Fairfield; two sisters, Claudia J. Cahoon and husband Lyle of Swan Quarter, Bridgette C. Midgette and husband Bernard of Belhaven; three grandchildren, Noah Aleksander Cahoon, Scottlynn Kaster, Lincoln Kaster; four nieces, Kris Noble, Jaime Jones, Lyla Watson and Emma Williams; three nephews Timmy Cahoon, Jimmy Cahoon, Dean Cahoon and his two fury companions Penny Layne and Onie.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Donald G. Cahoon and Eric C. Cahoon.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m to 9 p.m. on Thursday evening at Bryan Funeral Service, Swan Quarter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Noah A. Cahoon educational fund at Yadkin Bank.
