Vickie Lee Fields Edwards, 55, of High Point, died Thursday, December 10th at her home. Born August 31, 1960 in Carthage, NC, she is a daughter of Burgwyn Fields and Loraine Phillips Fields. Vickie attended Sand Hills Community College where she met her future husband Don and then they both transferred to UNC-Chapel Hill where she received her degree in Pharmacy. Vickie and Don have lived in High Point where she worked for Eckerd Drug, Kroger and Revco, which became CVS, and Harris Teeter. She received many awards for customer service. Vickie loved Rock N Roll music and cross-stitching. She was a member of the First Wesleyan Church of High Point.
She is survived by her husband Don Edwards and son Charles Edwards, both of the home, parents Burgwyn and Loraine Fields of Carthage, one brother Tony Fields of Carthage and a great-uncle Ronald Phillips of Kernersville.
Funeral services for Vickie will be held 2:00 pm Monday in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
