William Patrick “Bill” Broderick
April 20, 1936 – Dec. 10, 2015 

William Patrick “Bill” Broderick, age 79, a resident of Perquimans Drive in Chocowinity, died Thursday, December 10, 2015 at home. Mr. Broderick was born in New York City on April 20, 1936 to the late William and Mary Dyer Broderick. He was married to the former Eleanor Dacey on April 17, 1971, who survives.

He was a graduate of City College in New York and was a manager with AT&T for 25 years before retirement. He enjoyed tracing his Irish heritage, was an avid reader and loved being retired. He was a New York Giant fan and had season tickets for 50 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife are one brother, Robert Broderick (Cindy) of Franklin Square, NY; one sister, Patricia Flynn of Hampstead, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 14, 2015 at Mother of Mercy Catholic Church with Fr. Brendan Buckler officiating. The family will receive friends at a reception following the services at The Bay Club in Cypress Landing. A visitation will be held at Hillside Funeral Service on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mother of Mercy St. Vincent de Paul Society, 112 W. 9th St., Washington, NC  27889.
