Mr. Charles Michael “Mike” Saleeby, age 56, a resident of 5723 Bowen Drive, Grifton, NC, died Friday, December 11, 2015 at his home.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Oakdale Cemetery of Washington, officiated by Chaplain Allen Ham.

Pallbearers will be Preston Hall, Ed Rodriguez, Zac Rogerson, Blake Rodriguez, Don Gardner and Bruce Crowe.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.

Mike was born in Beaufort County on May 11, 1959, son of the late Eli Najeeb Saleeby and the late Leslie Mae Davis Saleeby. He was a graduate of Pamlico Community Academy in Washington Park and continued his education at Beaufort County Community College, earning an associate degree in drafting and Martin Community College, where he earned a physical therapy assistant associate degree. On February 23, 1985 he married the former Anita “Carol” Alligood who survives. Mike worked in the physical therapy department at the Caswell Developmental Center of Kinston. As a hobby, he was an avid remote control airplane and jet enthusiast.

Surviving along with his wife Carol of the home are two sons: Sean Saleeby and wife Jennifer of Greenville and Kyle Saleeby of Grifton; a sister: Elizabeth Saleeby and husband Jeff Ford of Greenville and two grandchildren: Autumn Rayne Bland and Scarlett Rose Saleeby.
