From Martin Enterprises
Christmas tree light strands that no longer work are a part of everyone’s life. The problem every Christmas season is what to do with them. One hates to just throw them away, but there really doesn’t seem to be a reason to save them.
This holiday season, Martin Enterprises, along with three regional Wal-Mart stores, is giving the opportunity to rid oneself of the lights without feeling guilty. Blue collection carts, donated by Waste Industries, are set up in Wal-Mart stores located in Greenville on East 10th Street, Washington and Williamston. This collection keeps the lights out of the landfill and helps support the mission of Martin Enterprises.
Visit www.martinenterprises.org or call 252-792-8251 for more information, plus send a picture of one’s burned-out lights on the Martin Enterprises’ Facebook page. If one lives in an area that isn’t listed above, he or she is welcome to mail the lights to Christmas Lights, P.O. Box 1042, Williamston, N.C. 27892 in a box or padded mailing envelope.
