Robert “Bobby” A. Edwards, 72, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at WakeMed in Raleigh.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8pm at Smith Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenville.  His ashes will be scattered privately at a later date.

Bobby, owner of Robert A. Edwards Masonry, was an avid fisherman, who also loved NASCAR and attending youth sports with his grandson Logan.  He was a beloved father, papa and friend who will be truly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lillian Edwards; brother, Billy Edwards; and sister, Annette “Pat” Garris.

Bobby is survived by his ex-wife and best friend, Theresa Edwards of Black Jack; daughters, Bobbie E. Ward of Washington, Wendy E. Todd and husband Garland of Greenville, Sandy “Jo” Edwards and fiancé Chris Lambert of Beaufort, and Misty Boyd of Washington; stepson, James Boyd and wife Starlla of Chocowinity; grandchildren, Tabitha Ward, Logan Boyd, both of Washington and Beau D. Lambert of Beaufort; and brothers, James Edwards and wife Carol of Willow Springs, Donald Edwards and wife Sheryl of Burgaw and Jerry Edwards and wife Kay of Vanceboro.
