Kimberly Boyd PUPPY PATCHES: Beaufort County Girl Scout Troop 1016 visited the Beaufort County Animal Shelter on Dec. 12, 2015. The girls, along with Trinity Episcopal Church in Chocowinity, collected items to be donated to the shelter as part of their holiday community service project for 2015. They also earned their animal badges in the process. The girls got a chance to name several of the new puppies that were up for adoption during their visit. One thing we learned was about volunteer opportunities available at the animal shelter for all ages. Many of the girls were excited about this and can't wait to go back again! Troop 1016 would like to extend a very special thank you to the Beaufort County Animal Shelter and Summer Cordon for this awesome opportunity! Pictured from left to right are Haleigh Tallcott, Hailey Carawan, Catherine Lynch, Caitlin Lynch, Alexis Jones, Kaitlyn Boyd and Maddie Cannefax.
