North Boundary Canal to undergo improvements

NORTH BOUNDARY CANAL at North Road Street in Columbia is the subject of two planned projects. The Town of Columbia intends to dredge the canal westward to Scuppernong River, and Tyrrell County is to engage NC Transportation to install a much larger drainage culvert in the canal that will also raise the Road Street surface by 18 inches.
