Lela Myrtle Woolard
Aug. 28, 1932 – March 21, 2016

Mrs. Lela Myrtle Woolard, 83, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, March 21, 2016. The graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Martin Memorial Gardens with Rev Lamar Jackson officiating.

Myrtle was born in Martin County on August 28, 1932, daughter of the late Jasper Ray Scott Sr. and Sidney Lee Whitaker. She was retired from the Weyerhaeuser Company where she worked for many years. She loved to fish, play bingo and go to yard sales.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Johnny and Cecil Scott and a sister Dorothy Stalls.

Survivors are husband Lester Lee “Jack” Woolard, son Jerry Wynne and Tracey Nixon of Bath, daughter Janice Webb and husband Danny of Bear Grass, stepdaughter Debbie Woolard, brother Jasper Ray Scott Jr. of Williamston and sister Sidney Peaks of Williamston, grandchildren Ashley Wynne, Kelly Wynne, Courtney Wynne, Bobby Webb, Joshua Webb and Lauren Webb.

Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 1494 Tyner Road.
