Helen Harrison Phelps, 93, of Cary, died April 2nd, 2016.

Helen was born on February 14th, 1923, in Plymouth, NC, to the late Sylvester Howard and Ruth Bowen Harrison. She was a beautiful and loving mother and grandmother, who owned and operated hair salons throughout her career.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey R. Phelps, and son Elton R. Ange Jr.

Helen is survived by her grandchildren, Elton R. Ange III, and Janet Ange Smith; great-grandchildren Elizabeth and Russell Ange, and Coley and Logan Smith.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 6th, 2016, from 10:00 – 11:00 am, at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary. A graveside service will be held the same day, at 2:00 pm, at Hillside Memorial Gardens in Plymouth, NC.
