Mrs. Margie Lee Everett Burbage, age 89, a resident of 2885 Sidney Road, Belhaven, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Yeatesville Cemetery, Hwy 264 East, Pinetown, conducted by Rev. David Pooser.
Mrs. Burbage was born in Bath on April 10, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Millard Everett and Mary Adelaide “Addie” Keech Everett Gaskins.
Mrs. Burbage was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sidney Free Will Baptist Church. In her spare time, Mrs. Burbage loved to work in her flower garden.
On May 21, 1945, she married Bryan Edward Burbage, who survives.
Surviving with her husband three daughters, Mary McCleney and husband, Shepherd of Chesapeake, Va., Rita Turner and husband, Chuck of Norfolk, Va., Shelly Crook and husband, Bill of Chesapeake, Va.; two brothers, Jack Everett and wife, Marlene of Kinston, N.C., Millard Everett and wife, Glenda of Norfolk, Va.; one sister, Inez Hill of Kinston, N.C.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burbage was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Everett.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, April 15, 2016 at Paul Funeral Home in Belhaven and other times at her home.
