Gloria C. Hudson
June 19, 1945 – April 26, 2016

Gloria Ann Chesson Hudson, age 71, a resident of 1731 Carrow Road, Chocowinity, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at home with her family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Bayleaf Plantation. The family will receive friends at the home, 1731 Carrow Road, Chocowinity.

Ms. Hudson was born in Duvall County, Florida on June 19, 1945. She was the daughter to the late Harry Chesson Jr. and Edna Lawson Chesson. She was a secretary for the Vocational Rehab Center. Ms. Hudson loved to write poetry and work puzzles in her spare time. She enjoyed fishing in Hyde County, watching birds, butterflies and collecting lighthouses. In her earlier years, she watched and enjoyed NASCAR. Ms. Hudson was a fabulous cook, and everyone loved her cooking, especially her family, and she was called a social butterfly. She loved her family and friends.

Ms. Hudson is survived by a daughter, Tina Michelle Keyes and her husband, Tony; two sons, Donald Chesson Swain and fiancée, Karen Tynch and Timothy Barrett Hudson and his wife, Abby; and eleven grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Hudson was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Chesson Jr.
