Anita L. Lewis
March 21, 1934 – May 10, 2016

Anita Lee Hodges Lewis, age 82, a resident of Chocowinity, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, May 13, 2016 at Ephesus Free Will Baptist Church and will be officiated by Michael Hill. Burial will follow in Ecklin Cemetery. Steven Foulk, Dale Foulk, Michael Foulk and Jimmie Lewis will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Lewis was born in Kingman, Kansas on March 21, 1934 to the late Huey Hodges and Velma Spieglemire Hodges. On April 11, 1972 she married Thomas Brown Lewis who preceded her in death on January 28, 2016. Mrs. Lewis enjoyed old country western music, crocheting and dancing. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy Durbin of the home, two sons, Steven Foulk and his wife Ivy of Goldsboro, Dale Foulk of Kingfisher, OK, four grandchildren, Jennifer Foulk, Michelle Foulk Jernigan and husband Kirk, Justin Foulk, Michael Foulk and seven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lewis, a grandson, Billy Durbin, and eleven brothers and sisters.
