Mr. James Alexander Williams, age 86, a resident of Belhaven, died Thursday, May 12, 2016, at his home.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 15, 2016 in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, officiated by Derik Davis.

Mr. Williams was born August 27, 1929, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Hugh Williams and Sally Stansburg Williams. He was a graduate of Langley High School. In 1948 he joined the U.S. Marines Corp. and served our country until 1952. On May 24, 1957 he married the former Dorothy Dashwood Mullen, who survives.

Surviving along with his wife, Dorothy, is a daughter, Beth Ann Williams and husband, Charles Brostrom of St. Paul, MN; a son, David James Williams and wife, Maria of Annandale, NJ; two grandsons, James M. Williams and Kevin D. Williams.
