Philip R. Anderson Jr.

Mr. Philip Ray Anderson Jr., age 55, a resident of Wilmington, N.C., and a former resident of Washington, died Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Oakdale Cemetery of Washington, officiated by Dr. E. Boyd Stokes.
Philip was born in Memphis, TN, on November 22, 1960, son of the late Philip Ray Anderson Sr. and the late Goldie Mae Paul Anderson. He attended Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include a brother: Gilford W. Douglas and his wife Ginger of Elgin, SC; an uncle: John D. Paul and his wife Emma of Murrells Inlet, SC; two nieces and caregivers: Georgia A. Stokes and Angela Garris, both of Wilmington; two nieces Deborah S. Mozingo and her wife Cindy of Keansburg, NY and Melissa Douglas of Columbia, SC; a great-niece Ashley Garris and her daughter Evelyn of Wilmington and Philip’s family at Coastal House of Wilmington. He was predeceased along with his parents by his grandparents: John G. & Virgie S. Paul and a sister: Linda D. Sharp.
