More than black bears

Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge is known for having a large population of black bears. But there is more wildlife to see than just bears. There are more than 200 species of birds, 40 species of mammals, 40 species of reptiles and 36 species of amphibians that live or pass through the refuge.
