Elizabeth Fowle “Bee” Morton, age 94, a resident of Washington, died Monday, July 25, 2016.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on Thursday, August 18, 2016 and officiated by The Reverend Jim Reed. Burial of cremated remains will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. A reception will be held at 1:00pm Thursday at the church prior to the service.

Miss Morton was born in Beaufort County, NC on June 21, 1922 to the late Charles Lamb Morton and Caddie Fowle Morton. She was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. She enjoyed sports including basketball and golf. Earning six trophies from various golf tournaments she often enjoyed talking about those trophies.

Survivors include her brother, John F. Morton and wife Eleanor of Wilmington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Charles Lamb Morton, Winslow Bradford Morton, and one sister Caroline McNeal.
