After a long illness, James Robert Shrader, 63, of Washington, died peacefully on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Ridgewood Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Schrader was born in the US Territory of Guam on February 25, 1953, but spent most of his life in California.

His parents were the late Emma Belle and Edgar Shrader Sr. of Long Beach, California. He is survived by his sister, Patti Gonzalez, his brother Donald Shrader, as well as 1 niece and 5 nephews, all living in California. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edgar Shrader Jr.

In the approximately ten years that he lived in this city, he touched the lives of many. His family is truly grateful to those that provided love, support and friendship, as he called Washington his home.

There will be a private gathering in his memory on Wednesday, August 24, 2016.
