Mrs. Lottie Adams Beavers, 99, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016.
The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 3:30 pm in Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service until the funeral hour at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
A native of Pitt County, Mrs. Adams grew up near Grimesland. She lived most of her adult life in the Wilmar community of Beaufort County. She had been an active member of Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, which she loved dearly.
In her earlier years, Mrs. Beavers enjoyed fishing and gardening but most of all keeping her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, who will be dearly missed by all that loved and knew her.
In addition to her parents, Stancill and Ada Hales Adams, Mrs. Beavers was preceded in death her husband, Jasper “Bernice” Beavers in 1990, sisters, Doris Mayo, Keel Mills, Mamie Forest and Shirley Potter and brothers, Herman, J.D., James, Billy and Melvin Adams.
She is survived by her: sons, Jimmie B. Beavers and Jasper Thomas Beavers and wife, Peggy, both of Wilmar; daughters, Ada Gray Chandler, of Chocowinity, Syble B. Parker and husband, Benton, of New Bern and Phyllis B. Buck, and husband, Kenneth, of Greenville; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby Adams; and sister, Mary Lee Coward, both of Chocowinity.
