Ellaree L. Radcliff

Mrs. Mary Ellaree Lowe Radcliff, 90, a resident of Pantego, NC died Sunday, September 4, 2016 at her home.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Free Union Free Will Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Francis Garner and Rev. Tony Parrish. Burial will follow in the Radcliff Family Cemetery. Scot Radcliff, Chris Lamb, David Radcliff, Richard Pugh, Jonah Lamb and Ethan Mobley will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the church and other times at the home.
Mrs. Radcliff was born in Hertford County on December 2, 1925, daughter of the late Roland Wingate Lowe and the late Emma Marie White Lowe. On December 22, 1948 she married Clarence Jonah Radcliff who preceded her in death on September 15, 2005. She was a 1944 graduate of Harrellsville High School and attended the former Beaufort Technical Institute, now Beaufort County Community College, where she received several certificates in business management and bookkeeping. She worked in the restaurant/food industry until her retirement. Her hard working ethics was a result of her early years working in Tobacco. Mrs. Radcliff was a member of Free Union Free Will Baptist Church, which she loved, and was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son: Thomas “Tommy” Radcliff (Ruth) of Pantego; a daughter-in-law: Hope Tetterton (James) of Bath; a brother: Richard Lowe (Loli) of San Marcos, CA; her grandchildren that she cherished: Scot Radcliff (Pam Spencer), Kara Pugh (Richard), Christopher Lamb (Miriam), David Radcliff (Tracy) and Dawn Limmel; great-grandchildren: Austin and Kelly Van Staalduinen, Alexis and Tres Pugh, Jonah, Jayden and Case Lamb; her caretakers: Betty Radcliff, Patricia Ross, Carolyn Jones, Pam Spencer, Renisha Clark, Ethan Mobley and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Radcliff was predeceased by a son: C.E. Radcliff; a daughter: Judith “Judy” Lamb; a brother: John Lowe and two sisters: Nan House and Dola Pittman.
