Residents ‘Tee It Up’ to benefit cancer center

On Saturday, Beaufort County residents came out to support the “Tee It Up for a Cure” golf tournament, benefitting Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center. The fundraising event involved two locations, one at Cypress Landing Golf Club and another at Washington Yacht & Country Club. The final tally for how much money was raised has yet to be determined, but last year’s golf tournament, in conjunction with the Hope and Heroes Walk and purple bow sales, raised more than $75,000.
