Barry Woolard, age 75, a resident of Belhaven, died Thursday, September 22, 2016 at his home.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington and will officiated by Rev. Dean Fulford. Pallbearers are Jeremy Hardison, Timothy Hardison, Paul Moseley, Rodney Glas, Bob Blackert and Roger Long. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Woolard and Michael Hardison.
Mr. Woolard was born in Beaufort County on June 1, 1941 to the late Dock Holland Woolard and Ola Ray Woolard. On June 29, 1963 he married Donna Hardison who survives. He was the owner of Barry’s Alignment Service in Pantego and retired around March 2016. Mr. Woolard spent his weekends, vacation days and holidays on his shrimp trawlers fishing in the Pamlico Sound.
Surviving along with his wife are two children, Christopher Barry Woolard and Jennifer Elizabeth Woolard, both of Belhaven, two brothers, Danny Woolard and wife Linda, Bing Woolard, all of Washington, two brothers-in-law, Wilmer Hardison and wife Danielle of Jamesville, Hillery Hardison and wife Ann of Jamesville, two sisters-in-law, Linda Haynes and husband John of Duncan, Etta Moseley and husband Robert of Hickory.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.
