The elementary school students at S.W. Snowden Elementary School held a Halloween parade to celebrate their costumes and one another. Quamori Miller, a second-grader, was Dr. Seuss’ famed Cat in the Hat. Students enjoyed celebrating the holiday while those having class in the media center read fun and spooky tales. Pre-kindergarten students enlisted help from their “letter monsters.” Students colored elaborate monsters made from the first letter of their first name and used it to practice letters. Students were having enough fun they hardly realized they were working on classwork.
