Mr. Jimmie Lee Beaman Sr., age 85, a resident of 1932 Windmill Road, Chocowinity, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at his home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, December 19, 2016 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and will be conducted by Rev. Byrl Simmons.
Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Craig Hayes, Brad Paul, Andrew Paul, Ben Worthington, Eric Beamon and Bobby Perry will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Beaman was born in Greene County on October 10, 1931 to the late Marion Lee Beamon and Mollie Norman Beamon. On January 24, 1953 he married Elizabeth Baker who survives. He was a licensed electrician and worked for PCS for 18 years and then was owner/operator of Beamon and Sons Electric Company.
He was a member of Memorial Free Will Baptist Church where he served on the Deacons Board and sang in the choir.
Survivors include his wife Elizabeth B. Beaman of the home, two sons, Jimmie Lee Beamon Jr., Kenneth Wade Beamon, two daughters, Teresa Beamon Paul of Pactolus, Pamela Beamon Worthington and husband Obe of Chocowinity, two brothers, Marion Gray Beamon and wife Hortense of Walstonburg, Norman “Pete” Beamon and wife Catherine of Snow Hill, one sister, Christine Beamon Brady and husband Jesse of Farmville, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
