William Berry Keech Jr.

William Berry Keech, Jr., 79, of 7201 Free Union Church Road, Pinetown, died at his home on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017.
Born in Beaufort County on Jan. 1, 1938, he was the son of the late William Berry and Lula Elizabeth Tetterton Keech. He was married to the former Sally Brooks who preceded him in death.
Mr. Keech retired in 1993 after working with Sears for more than 30 years. Following his retirement, he and his wife formed their own business, The Garden Spot, which they operated for a good number of years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, 80 Cedar Circle, Washington. A burial service will be held later in the family cemetery.
Surviving are a son, Mitchell and wife, Virginia Brooks Keech of Pinetown; a daughter, Pamela Elizabeth K. Cox and husband, Tracy of Pinetown; grandchildren, Justin Mitchell Keech, Madison Virginia Keech, Matthew Phillip Hassell and wife, Erin, and Amanda Hassell Toler and her husband, Jeffrey Lee; great-grandchildren, Ava Elizabeth Toler and Ryder Lee Toler.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church on Tuesday.
