Mr. Lance Earl King Sr., age 71, a resident of Whootentown Road, Washington, died Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital. Lance was born December 7, 1945 to the late Olivia Graddy King and Harvey King in Beaufort County, NC. He was a graduate of Washington High School and was a retired welder for Coastal Industries. Lance enjoyed fishing, fixing cars, and most of all he enjoyed his family and friends. Lance is survived by his wife, Victoria Seward King, one daughter, Stacey King Anthony of Williamston, NC, one son, Lance Earl King Jr., of Greenville, NC, two sisters, Olivia King and Camilla King Cherry, both of Philadelphia, four grandchildren, Anthony Jordan King, Bryce Spencer King, Saige Elizabeth King and Rashaad Tucker, and a host of nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at St. Luke Disciples of Christ with Pastor Collins officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, today, February 3, 2017 at Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations. Donations in his memory may be directed to the church.
