The district elementary competition of Battle of the Books was held Feb. 22. JSS won first place, followed by Chocowinity Middle School in second, Northeast Elementary School in third and Chocowinity Primary School in fourth. Students had to read 18 chapter books and answer questions about them in a competitive setting.
