Two Washington men were arrested Thursday on drug charges.

Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit served arrest warrants on Deshawn Weldon, 20, of 117 W. Ninth St. in Washington, and Sharid Williams, 21, of 108 W. Ninth St. in Washington.

They were charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver molly, a schedule I controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Their arrest stemmed from investigators making purchases of molly from Weldon and Williams. Molly is a pure form of ecstasy and is usually sold as a powder or in capsules.

Weldon was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond. Williams was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $24,000 secured bond.
