Mrs. Eva Cutler Woolard Barber, age 88, a resident of 1768 John Small Avenue, Washington, died Sunday, March 26, 2017 at her home.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory followed by a graveside service at Pamlico Memorial Gardens, conducted by Skip Hurley.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Lance Pippin, Drew Pippin, Toby Woolard Jr., Christopher Boyd, Donnie Cutler and Kevin Cutler.
Mrs. Barber was born in Beaufort County on October 21, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Merton Cutler and Amanda Drusilla DeLone Cutler. Mrs. Barber worked as a seamstress for several years before becoming a sales person with Singer Sewing Center. She was a member of the Woodard’s Pond Church of Christ. In her spare time, Mrs. Barber loved to work in her garden, sew and travel.
On October 25, 1946, she married Harvey Mayo Woolard, who preceded her in death, September 3, 1981. On February 14, 1988, she married Kenneth Wayne Barber, who preceded her in death, October 31, 2011.
Mrs. Barber is survived by two daughters, Brenda Woolard Pippin and husband, Freddie of Wilson, Belita W. “Faye” Ingalls and husband, Walt; one son, Toby Wayne Woolard Sr. and wife, Donna of Washington; four grandchildren, Lance Pippin (Erin), Drew Pippin, Cortney Woolard, Toby Wayne Woolard Jr. (Crystal); three great-grandchildren, Lindsey H. Moore, Seth Reason, Lydia Woolard; four brothers, Leland Cutler, Walter Cutler, Jerry Cutler, Donald Cutler Jr.; sister, Gloria DeLone and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Barber was preceded in death by two brothers, James Cutler Sr. and Sherald Cutler; sister, Maxine Cutler; and half sister, Margaret Fisher.
The family would like to extend a “Special Thanks” to Mrs. Barber’s caregivers: Lisa, Amanda, Teresa, Patty, Gabby, Bridget and Brandi, Linda and Essie with Community Hospice.
