Mr. Jerry Thomas Wynne, age 64, a native of Beaufort County, died Sunday, April 9, 2017.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday, April 14, 2017 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.

Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory, conducted by Dr. Greg Barmer, of the First Baptist Church, Washington. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Zack Wynne, Josh Wynne, Mike Congleton, Roger Congleton, Jay Sheppard and Murray Whitford.

Mr. Wynne was born in Beaufort County on December 16, 1952. He was the son of Annie Mae Sheppard Wynne Usry and the late Leroy Alton Wynne. Jerry was a graduate of Washington High School and attended college in Colorado and California. He owned a successful Bail Bond Company in Southern California. Jerry was a devoted member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Tustin and a member of the West Bar Association.

Jerry’s highest priority was his family. In his spare time, he enjoyed outdoor activities with his family and was a passionate fan of the California Angels and NASCAR. Jerry was also a proud supporter of his daughter Makena’s lacrosse team and never missed a game.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Heidi Michelle Wynne and his daughter, Makena Michelle Wynne of Tustin, California; his mother, Annie Mae Wynne Usry of Washington; and his brother, Steve Wynne of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Jerry was also extremely fortunate to be survived by a loving extended family.

The family will also receive friends at the home of his mother, Mrs. Annie Mae Usry, 509 Pamlico River Drive, Pamlico Plantation, Washington.
