Nina Juanita Mills

Mrs. Nina Juanita Warner Mills, age 72, a resident of 259 Moore’s Lane, Chocowinity, died Thursday afternoon, May 18, 2017 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, officiated by Tony Krantz.

Mrs. Mills was born in Beaufort County on April 13, 1945, daughter of the late Lacy Oma Warner and Nina Maxine Alligood Warner. She was a 1963 graduate of Washington High School and a member of Beaver Dam Church of Christ. On November 10, 1979, she married Jesse Elmer Mills Jr. and he preceded her in death on May 15, 2012. Mrs. Mills loved to travel, antiques, flowers, interior decorating and singing.

She is survived by her sons: Murphy E. Woolard Jr. and wife Kim and Patrick Woolard and wife Christy, all of Washington, and her daughter: Jessica Long-Mills and wife Gloria of Chocowinity; her grandchildren: Zane Woolard, Dawson Woolard, Kelly Woolard, Beth Woolard, Alex Amend and Emily Amend; her great-granddaughter: Kastle Beacham; her brothers: Jimmie Warner and wife Faye and Roger Warner, all of Washington; her sisters: Geraldine Craft and husband David of Mt. Airy, Bernice Purgason and husband Joe of Williamston and Kathy Clark and husband Douglas of Washington. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brother: Dalton Warner and her sister: Phyllis Little.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM on Saturday at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington and other times at the home.
